Caledonia schools vote a go

Maybe if the Caledonia voters vote to pursue a separate school district in a landslide it will wake up Unified to the fact that $135 million in referendum money hardly means a thing.  Parents want schools that educate kids.  Nice new buildings and well paid staff really aren't that important.

Union Grove rejects apartments

I sort of like TIF districts.  What it does is allow the owner of the property to improve his property, then use the increased taxes generated by the improvement to pay off the loan for the improvements.  I just think it should be available to everyone, even homeowners.  Not just big businesses projects.

RAMAC's Ladwig IDs goals

One of Ladwig's goals should be to get RAMAC off the government dole.  RAMAC should be funded entirely with membership dues from private companies.  Getting government money causes a RAMAC conflict of interest.

Villages explore leaving Unified

State law needs to be changed to allow communities to pursue better educational systems.

Homeless solutions elusive

Get the government money out of the system, reduce taxes, let business thrive and the homeless solution will come about.  Affluent societies don't have people dying on the street.
